In order to perform subsurface extraction, we use a UV light (pet urine exhibits a fluorescent glow under UV light) and a moisture probe, In-Depth locates and marks all contaminated areas for treatment. Once completed, we prepare a specifically designed solution for pet urine removal.
We then completely saturate the affected areas, allowing the liquid solution to flow through the carpet fibers while seeping deep into the carpet’s backing, padding, and subfloor, penetrating the entire odor source. The solution rehydrates, emulsifies, and breaks down pet urine solids in preparation for extraction and fresh-water rinsing.
Technicians then use the Water Claw, a specialty tool designed to flush out the solution and animal waste from your carpets to a holding tank outside in our van. This method provides a 90 percent success rate for pet odor removal.

“As we are a family with two Labrador Retrievers, we consider In-Depth Cleaning an important part of our routine household maintenance. The prompt service response is also appreciated during the occasional carpet emergency.” – Lou and Alyce L. of Appleton, Wisconsin
